REASONABLE ADAPTATION APPLIED THROUGH TELEWORKING TO THE DISABLED AND THEIR CAREGIVERS

Abstract

The scope of this work is to analyze the difficulties of people with disabilities, as well as their caregivers, to stay at work. In this sense, reasonable adaptation was proposed by the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities - CRPD, which was ratified by Brazil. There are several forms of reasonable adaptation, however, this article highlights how telework can become one of the most helpful alternatives. Thus, considering that each individual has its own needs, the caregiver of the person with disability must indicate which reasonable adaptation would be best for their case, which cannot cause a disproportionate burden to the employer.
