Abstract

The article analyzes the conditions of housing permanence among residents of Paranoá Parque, in the Federal District, relating the housing experience to the fulfillment of social rights and the purpose of social housing policy. It adopts bibliographic and documentary research, combined with a descriptive analysis of a field survey conducted in 2023, with 70 responses from residents. The theoretical framework encompasses the right to the city, the discussion of urban segregation, and public policy analysis. The results indicate a favorable assessment of the housing unit, accompanied by difficulties regarding security and access to public facilities. The housing unit was rated as excellent by 62.9% of respondents; approximately 27% indicated insecurity as a reason for potentially leaving, while 11.4% pointed to financial returns from selling the property. It is concluded that continuous monitoring during the post-occupancy period and resident participation are necessary.
