In the Federal District, the environment of the socio-educational units for children and teenagers who brake the law is marked by tensions between the socio-educational professionals and the supervised adolescents. This research analyzes the profile of socio-educational professionals who carry out socio-educational measures and presents an analogy between the considerations proposed by the Jewish philosopher Hannah Arendt and usual behaviors by professionals in the Federal District's Social and Educational System, when dealing directly with the teenagers.
