The reflection of brazil's slavery history on the black people access to the corporate systems

Abstract

This article aims to analyze how the conditions of arrival of enslaved black people in Brazil, as well as the reality faced during slavery and the obstacles encountered after freedom, are reflected to this day in their occupation of good positions in the labor market. During enslavement, this population was subjected to extreme physical and psychological violence, and access to education and land was denied. Subsequently, the abolition of slavery did not guarantee basic rights, keeping them on the margins of society. Concrete evidence of this is the fact that the majority of residents in the periphery are Black. This examination requires in-depth theoretical and empirical research on the maintenance of inequalities, even with the enactment of a legal framework whose intention was to promote effective racial equity in the world of work.
